About Me
Hi SMD 6D-04!
I am excited to get to know my neighbors better! Here is a little bit about me:
-
I am a lawyer and advocate. Over my career, I have worked on various issues which all relate to good government and holding our government officials accountable. I currently work at a non-profit organization. Previously, I ran Congressional oversight investigations both at a federal agency and Congress. Before government service, I served as an anti-corruption counsel at a large multi-national corporation. I received my J.D. from the University of Notre Dame Law School and my B.A. in Political Science and International Relations from Boston University.
-
I am a community builder. I feel a calling and a responsibility to make my community better, including through providing pro bono legal services; volunteering with community, political, and voter registration organizations; and service through legal organizations, such as the American Bar Association (ABA) and the South Asian Bar Association of DC (SABA-DC).
-
I am a writer. In my free time, I enjoy writing short stories and personal essays.
-
I am a food lover. I love exploring new cuisines, whether it’s the restaurants in our neighborhood, trying out new recipes through a cookbook club, or cooking up something at home and building community through hosting my friends for dinner!
-
I am a budding runner. I ran my first 5K last year: the classic DC Cherry Blossom race! You might see me running (very slowly) around the neighborhood. Feel free to say hi!
